Restoring a Ceiling Rose with Peel Away

Ceiling roses are often the centerpiece of a room, but years of paint layers can hide their intricate details. Recently, we tackled a restoration project where the rose had been coated in soft distemper, leaving its original craftsmanship almost invisible.

Using Peel Away, a specialist paint removal system, we were able to gently lift away decades of buildup without damaging the underlying plaster. This process revealed the crisp lines and delicate patterns that had been lost for so long.

Once cleaned, the ceiling rose regained its original elegance, ready to be finished in a way that respects its heritage. The transformation was remarkable and proof that with the right approach, even the most

timeworn details can be brought back to life.
